What sucks about being my age!

Being a 28 year old Indian I have to face some issues. Which I think are not unique and almost everyone has to face these issues at some point or other in their life.

Society expect you to earn a certain amount. If you are not earning enough at this age you will feel incomplete mainly due to relative deprivation and social comparison.

People of your age are either getting married or having babies. And people around you make such a hysteria about marriage as if it’s the whole point behind taking birth.

Some of your crushes are either hitched or are in the process. Soon you come to realize that life is guided by hard realities not by romanticized realities which you made up in your mind.

You become More selective in dating people and making carrier choices as there is huge pressure from all sides to settle down. In short your risk taking abilities are curbed.

Observing that your parents too are getting older and soon you have to shoulder responsibility.
Songs reminding about bachapan(childhood) and college life sounds relatable now. As you realize time is really flying and there is not much you can do about it.

You are past adolescence and it becomes difficult to fit in the society. Most of your revolutionary ideas about life have been crushed by the hard realities of life by now.

Friend circle becomes small. Some people who were close to you are already not in your frequent caller list.

Even the body reminds of it’s declining youthfulness with this age. You do not feel the sams amount of high energy as it was some years ago.

Before you realize you will end up becoming an average middle class person concerned with being in conformity with social norms and values.
